Maria is happy to accept commissions for portraits, or indeed for other art works such as a favourite pet, your home, or a still life.
The table opposite shows an approximate price guide and sitting time estimate, although these may vary according to the complexity of the desired composition.
We try to keep the process as informal and straightforward as possible. A price will be quoted before the picture is started, and on completion, if you do not like the picture for any reason, you are under no obligation to purchase.
Although it is always preferable to paint from life, we understand that there are times when the subject cannot sit for a portrait. They may live far away or be too young to sit still, or the portrait might be a surprise present. In these circumstances portraits can be painted from photograph.
